We are the team behind Bacularis – a web interface for the Bacula backup system. We specialize in developing Bacularis and providing services for its installation, usage and extension. Our mission is to promote the use of Bacula network backup solutions and the Bacularis interface. In our daily work, we rely on the Bacula Community version in combination with Bacularis.
Bacularis.com was created to ensure financial support for the continued development of Bacularis. From the beginning, Bacularis was an open-source project developed in our spare time. Over the years, it has grown steadily—month by month, year by year—into a large and advanced application. At some point, it became too large to maintain as a side project.
You can think of it like a building that keeps getting new floors added—each new feature makes the application more useful and appealing, attracting more users, but also increasing the amount of code and maintenance needed.
To keep releasing new, professional-grade features for the community, Bacularis needed full-time attention. That's why we founded Bacularis.com—so we could dedicate ourselves fully to the project and fund its development through a commercial entity. This is our opportunity to focus 100% on building and improving the web interface.
Bacularis is and will remain free—both in terms of freedom and price. That’s important to us, and we don’t intend to change it.
If you find our services helpful, we encourage you to use them. It’s a win-win: you benefit from expert support, and we gain the means to keep the project alive and thriving. Service sales help fund ongoing development and maintenance.
If you'd like to support us—thank you! If you'd prefer to use Bacularis on your own without our services, that's perfectly fine too. Either way, we hope you enjoy using Bacularis.
